NASAP TRT Section Presents the November 2020 TAPTalk - Clinical Considerations for Working with Individuals in the Kink Community By Mary Madrake & Noah DeBruyn

This TAPTalk will provide information on various aspects of kink, including information on how individuals who identify as part of the kink community, including those who practice BDSM, face increased stigma and negative stereotypes from the media, individuals, and mental health providers. Useful vocabulary, terms, and types of dynamics seen in the kink community will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on reviewing key takeaways from the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Working with People with Kink Interests, developed by the Kink Clinical Practice Guidelines Project.
