Alfred Adler believed that everyone should learn the principles of psychology and human behavior.  Hence, he spoke not only to professional groups of physicians and psychologists but also to groups of lay men and women who wanted to learn more about psychology, the science of human behavior.  Adler firmly believed that psychological education (education in the principles of human behavior) should be available to the public.  Who would think that our education would stop when we leave school?  In a world where information is expanding at a rate that is more rapid than ever before, continuing education is necessary for everyone.  NASAP sees continuing education as necessary for professionals as well as non-professionals, making psychology available to the public is one of our goals.  Since we have members who belong to professions that require continuing education, it is only fitting that we provide continuing education that is suitable for these professionals.
